In this episode, Candice Fobb shares her journey as CHRO at ParFab recently acquired by Private Equity and having an impact on the business. Candice shares that her MBA helped to give her perspective but also gave her the ability to “talk business.” We in HR are constantly shaking the negative connotation that we only do feel-good things like party planning, but that we are business savvy and we understand how to drive revenue and growth. We discussed how being obsessed with solving problems will help is to find that alignment between what the employee needs and what the business wants.
Candice stressed the importance of developing a relationship with finance but also harped on the need for HR professionals to speak in dollars.
